Cinderella goes to the ball

Did I ever tell you that Mr. Decor was born and raised in Panama? Yes indeed. His great grandmother traveled down to Panama after the death of her husband, This was during the time the great canal was being built and the government hired women to work in the offices.

This is a Kuna Indian woman, not M.D.'s great grandmother. :)

Mr. Decor's grandfather received the Roosevelt Medal for his work on the canal. Every 4th of July the Panama Canal Society hosts several luncheons and dances for members of the society in Orlando.

It had been several years since we last attended the event. A week long vacation to Florida and it's beautiful beaches was just what the doctor ordered to get me on the mend.



I will soon post even more loveliness that I encountered on my trip.
