Color Trends for 2010

I decided to do some research on the color trends for 2010 and this is what I found:

Monochromatic palettes will be popular and I don’t mean muted colors. I’m speaking of single color bunches.

Some examples:

White on White – This is a very elegant and traditional look. A pure white color palette will definitely stand out. If the crisp white doesn’t work for you, add a hint of color using blooms of any hue.

Shades of Yellow – Picture this, soft butterly yellow mixed with a golden yellow: a multi-facet sun. The different shades together will create a sophisticated and airy ambiance.

My favorites are blues, purples and pinks. You will be surprised how versatile these palettes can be.

Are vibrant colors more your forte? Try orange, green, pink and yellow. From the bridesmaids dresses and flowers, to the linen and cake, theses color will surely bring life to your wedding day.

Consider metal colors like gold, silver, cooper and pewter. These colors can be paired with deep blues, purples, greens, even stark black or white. If you want the colors to pop, try accenting with red.

For 2009 gray was the “in” color. For 2010 black is back! You can play it up or down with accents of pink, red, champagne, blue and gold. The color black says chic, sexy and mysterious.
