Uneven Bridal Party?

Do you have more bridesmaids than groomsmen or vice versa? There is nothing wrong with have an uneven number of attendants and is actually more common in today’s weddings. You do have options when it comes to the processional and recessional.

How to solve the walking down the aisle issue?

Consider having one bridesmaid on each arm!
Think about having the groomsmen enter in with the groom and have the ladies walk alone
Consider having the groomsmen walk down first followed by the bridesmaids
Think about having them alternate, i.e. bridesmaid, groomsman, bridesmaid, and so forth
For the Recessional, have them paired, then have the extra attendants walk out alone

Don’t spend too much time stressing over what to do with an uneven bridal party. Remember, what really matters is that you have all the people who are important to you by your side on your wedding day.

If you’re worried about how your pictures will turn out, DON’T! This is an opportunity for your photographer to demonstrate and utilize his/her creativity. You will be surprised at the different poses they will come up with.

But if you’re absolutely set on having an even number of bridesmaids and groomsmen, think about asking some of them to be ushers, gift attendants, read a poem, escort your mother or escort a grandmother. That way they can still have a special role at your wedding.
