When postponing a wedding, couples must act fast and let all parties involved know. Depending upon how far out the wedding is, they mat either send and announcement or phone their guests.
Announcements are generally worded something like this:
Mr. and Mrs. James Jones
regret to inform you that the invitations to the marriage of
their daughter
Miss Abigail Jones
to
Mr. Sean Baker
on March 21, 2010
are recalled.
I need a space here.
If the reasoning is not of a personal nature, such as bad weather or illness, couples mat disclose it in the announcement. This will prevent further questions later. If for some reasaon they are postponing the reception only, the couple should indicate that on the announcement.
