Guest List - Who to invite?
Etiquette for encore weddings suggests that couples have a more intimate wedding than the first time, and many couple decide to just invite close friends and their immediate family. They agree to do this for a couple of reasons. One being, to avoid the headaches that accompanies a large guest lists. More importantly, because one or both have experienced a large wedding, they want something more personal and intimate.
Secondly, having a small headcount allows couples to spend more time with their guests and each other. Couples getting married for the second time are probably working with a smaller budget as they are less likely to receive a contribution for their parents.
