I escaped the heat of Phoenix and went to Laguna Beach last weekend. Saturday morning I headed to the Corona Del Mar farmers market. I enjoyed a visit with my friend Andrea in her French Basketeer booth. These are her adorable and truly delicious dogs, Biscuit and Honey. You may recognize Honey from a recent article on Andrea’s home which was featured in Romantic Homes magazine.
On Sunday the Fashionista and I headed to the Rose Bowl Flea Market.
I adore vintage tablecloths. I purchased one to transform into a cute summer skirt. They are like potato chips for me.
There is almost too much goodness. Almost.
Vintage suitcases and mid century modern style. You’ll also see my shopping companion who was unwilling to play along. :)
I bought some great vintage linen that I am going to recover my formal dining room chairs with and a bit of vintage millinery. It is the perfect finishing touch on hats, bags and gifts.
Of course being very close to Hollywood we always see a few music, film and television stars while attending the market. I have talked about my love of the Gilmore Girls before. Mr. Sean Gunn, aka “Kirk”, was as nice as pie. Of course he is. He’s a Gunn after all.
I of course got all tongue tied and failed to mention our 6 degrees of separation. Hee hee.
